Constance "Connie" Threinen

MIDDLETON - Constance "Connie" Threinen passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, with her family by her side.
While attending the University in Madison, she met and later, in 1948, married Bill Threinen of Kenosha, Wis. The Threinen family lived in Middleton beginning in 1950. Connie was a well-known member within the Middleton and Madison communities through her work with University of Wisconsin Extension, progressive political causes, and the Middleton League of Women Voters.
Connie is predeceased by her sister, Ellen Fuller; and her husband, Bill Threinen. She is survived by her three children and their respective spouses, Ellen and Lane Ittelson, Charles "Chip" T(h)reinen and Jenissa Budd-Amick, and Thomas and Sharon Threinen; four grandchildren, Margaret Ittelson, and Max, Lex, and Nick Threinen (m. Zoe Fuller); and great-granddaughter, born 9/18, referred to as "Baby Fuller."
Private services will be held at Natural Path Sanctuary at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Connie's name may be made to League of Women Voters of Dane County, https://www.lwvdanecounty.org/donate. I remember Connie as a pioneer in women´s rights. She along with Katherine Clarenbach led the fight in WI in the Seventies.
