October 27, 1954 - February 21, 2025
Deborah Kaye Colonero, 70, of Casco, Maine, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2025.
Debbie was born on October 27, 1954, to LeRoy ("Lucky") and Nira Torgerud in Utah. After Debbie graduated from Memorial High School in 1972, she went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1972 - 1975 as a medic. During her time in the service, Debbie met John Rogers and they went on to have one child together, Jack.
Debbie met Raymond Colonero, Jr. while working together at Chancellor in Boston. Debbie and Ray got married in 1989 and have three children together, Nira, Olivia and Maxwell.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the camp or down the valley. She loved laying in the sun at the beach and had a passion for reading and true-crime documentaries. Her most cherished time was spent with her grandbabies, from taking them into Boston to all her favorite spots, to cheering them on at their games from the bleachers.
Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Lucky and Nira, and her father-in-law, Raymond Colonero, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Ray, her children, Jack (Samantha), Nira (Phillip), Olivia (Stephen) and Maxwell (Kara), her grandchildren, Madison, Trip, Sage and Juniper, her mother-in-law, Marie (Colonero), her brother, LeRoy (Torgerud, Jr.) and her sister, Marcia (Russell) and their families, who all loved her dearly.
Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories - we will carry her in our hearts forever.
Services will be held at St. Mary Parish in Uxbridge, MA on Monday, March 3rd at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mt. Horeb Public Library, where Debbie frequented, or your local library.
