Diane (DeGolier) Hippman
VERONA - Diane (DeGolier) Hippman, passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 74.
She was born in 1949, in Deerfield, WI, and grew up in Madison. She left after college to explore but eventually returned as an adult. She opened a macrame shop called "Knot Much," married Howard Hippman in 1979, and had three kids whom she is survived by: Nick, Chuck (Karlie), Maggie; and a grandchild, Adam. Diane was known as a great friend, devoted wife, and extraordinary mother.
She lived by the Golden Rule and never failed to show up for those around her. She was a great proponent of inclusivity and acceptance of differences.
She had many interests and hobbies: she was a lifelong seamstress, often occupying her free time with the construction of intricate quilts. She could pick up any kind of crafting project easily and took great joy in creating beautiful things. She was an accomplished cook and baker with a reputation for keeping the sweet tooths of her family always satisfied. She photographed the weddings of family and friends and enjoyed documenting and scrapbooking. She loved playing cards with friends and family, annual family trips to the YMCA of the Rockies in Colorado, and the beauty of nature and wild animals - especially deer! Most of all, she loved her family, whom she would do anything for.
She will be remembered as a kind-hearted, gentle, humor-filled woman who was completely devoted to the relationships in her life.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I send my deepest condolences to the Hippman family....memories flood my mind of the participation and encouragement from both Diane and Howard at Falk Elementary. ((Hugs)) especially to Maggie, whom I taught. Speak often of her love and activities whenever you gather- she lives in your hearts.

Diane was an outstanding person to know and love. She was a devoted wife, mother and had three beautiful children. I had the joy of having Diane assist as a "room mother" in my classroom when I taught Nick and later Maggie at Falk school. She was very creative especially when designing and making costumes for my Fall and Spring plays. I hold dear in my heart my fond memories of Diane and wish her family comfort and peace at this time. May Diane now spend her eternity with the Lord who has blessed her while on earth. Sincerely, Roseann Murphy
