Earl Mylrea Obituary

In Loving Memory of Earl Mylrea

Heaven's gates opened to welcome home one of the earth's gentlest souls. Earl Mylrea, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving a legacy of love, gratitude, and joy. Earl cherished each moment and never took anything for granted when celebrating family and friends.

"I never thought I would have so many blessings," he shared in passing with his warm, deep-belly chuckle and boyish grin that would light up any room. His warm heart, generous spirit, and boundless gratitude made him a light in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Born in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Earl grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of the lakes and forests he loved dearly. His soul found peace outdoors - fishing at sunrise, hunting, and snowmobiling.

He cherished the people around him, always reminding us to appreciate life's blessings and never take anything for granted.

A Love Story for the Ages

On November 12, 1949, Earl married the love of his life, Marian, in Loganville, Wisconsin. Together, they built a life of love, adventure, and unshakable faith. For over 70 years, they stood by each other's side, creating a family that brought them immeasurable pride and joy: Steven, David, Sharon, Marilyn, and many grandkids and friends. Their love was a testament to what it means to cherish one another through every moment life brings, and their story remains an inspiration to all who knew them.

The American Dream

Earl and Marian were soulmates in every sense, and their love for each other was matched only by their love for family. They built a successful business, traveled the world together, made lifelong friends, and built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and adventure. Earl's humor and humility turned strangers into friends and friends into family. Whether traversing the globe with the Friendship Force or casting a line in Lake Monona, Marian was always the beacon by his side.

Their home on the lake was a gathering spot for so many memories: game day and cocktail hour, Christmas, Badger and Packer games. Whether he was offering sage advice or a listening ear, Earl made everyone feel seen, valued and loved. He had a gift for celebrating others, always putting their joy and success above his own.

A Legacy of Love and Faith

As we say goodbye to Earl, we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with Marian, his lifelong love, in the arms of the Lord. Their love story continues in heaven, where they will watch over their family together.

Though we grieve his passing, we will continue to celebrate his life and memory that shimmers like the sunrise over the lake, reflecting outward to distant shores and hearts alike.
