Weisensel, Earl V.
SUN PRAIRIE - Earl V. Weisensel, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, after a long three-year battle with health issues. He was born Dec. 24, 1940, in Columbus, son of Le Roy and Evelyn Traver (Gugel) Weisensel.
Earl worked for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as a security officer for 40 years. He enjoyed his time as a hunter safety instructor and enjoyed teaching trapper's education. His favorite pastime was the outdoors.
He is survived by his children, Wendy Arringdale, Tonya Weisensel and Tamra Weisensel; grandchildren, Cassandra, Patricia, Timothy and Mitchell; four great-granddaughters; and leaves behind extended family members. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Edwin, LeRoy and Bonita Weisensel.
A memorial gathering will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Wednesday, July 28, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
