February 15, 1938 - February 13, 2025
Sun Prairie – Elaine "Barb" L. Gullickson, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Prairie Gardens Assisted Living. She was born on February 15, 1938, the daughter of Edmund and Isabelle (Kreier) Thiele. She married Paul Gullickson on August 15, 1969.
Elaine grew up on a farm in Leeds, Wis. She graduated high school in 1956 and went to school to become a beautician. She worked for Channel 15 news as a receptionist and later in life worked for GTE / Verizon as a customer service rep until retirement. Elaine was a member Spring Prairie Lutheran Church, loved to do crafts, volunteered with the Colonial Club in the gift shop and enjoyed country music. She loved all animals especially (Cats), working in her floral gardens, and enjoyed traveling with Paul.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul in 2015; and her brother, Harland Thiele.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Spring Prairie Lutheran Church, N509 County Road C, Deforest, Wis. with Rev. Rick Bursh presiding. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Elaine will be laid to rest next to her husband at Spring Prairie Lutheran Cemetery. A luncheon will be held following the services at church.
The family would like to thank Prairie Gardens and SSM Health Hospice for their loving care of Elaine.
