Emily was an enthusiastic member of our online clarinet community. She played clarinet beautifully, and really supported other members of the community. She is missed!

Emily, I only knew you for a short time, but you made a profound effect on me and I admired your energy and enthusiasm. Your commitment to music was so inspiring and your kindness was deeply felt. I shall miss you very much and I am sad we did not have more time together. You are one of those rare people in life one never forgets! Safe travels, my friend, wherever you may be.

Emily was a long time member of the New Horizons Band--over 25yrs. playing clarinet and sax. She was a very good musician and often played solos in the Swing Band. She was a 'dynamo' and had more energy than most. She served many years on our band board as Treasurer and when her term was up, and no one volunteered, she agreed to stay on. This happened many times and we were so grateful for her willingness to continue. She will be greatly missed by her 'band family'.

The picture is of Emily when she was on the board in 2017.

I first met this angel at Gilda's Club discussing our cancer diagnosis. Never did she say to feel sorry for ourselves. I was surprised to find out she lived in our neighborhood. Everytime I met her on the daily walks she took, she asked how my cancer journey was going. She always cared. Our neighborhood somehow seems a bit more empty now. As Bob Hope said, Thanks for the memories, I will cherish them forever. As Roy Rogers said, Happy Trails to you until we meet again. You are now in the Arms of the Angels and I know I will see you there to greet me. You are so very much missed. Thanks for being there for me. Love you forever.
