Howard J. Murphy
SPRING GREEN - Howard J. Murphy, age 89, of Spring Green, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, WI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Church in Spring Green with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, at St. John's Catholic Church from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass.

I was pleased to know Howie as a coach. He was a great coach. Later in life we stayed close always enjoyed battling him and Vince at cards at the Mounds Creek social club Christmas party. I will always remember that he was the first person at my father's wake and the big hug he gave me and the hearty laughs we shared on that sad day. I regret I cannot attend his wake as I am pretty sick with covid at this time. I am sure he will be saying geez Louise coaching up a team for St. Peter. I am never going to forget his kindness and friendship. I would never wish him back to his final years, however I know he has moved on to a better place. 1st down coach enjoy the view in heaven.
