MADISON - Janet C. Dushack, age 83, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at U.W. Hospital in Madison. She was born on April 2, 1940 in Madison and was the daughter of Harold and Fern Ione (Christianson) and Evelyn (Pfaff) Quamme. She married Gary Dushack on January 7, 1961 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church.
She is survived by her four children: Joey (Deb Petersen), Ritchie, Terry (Kristie Merrihew), Jodi (Jeff McCloskey), and her "favorite" Lisa Lea (Andy Konkle); many grandchildren and great-granchildren; sisters: Judy (Joe) Conlin, Sharon (Gene) Baumgartner; numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; sisters: Marilyn Spahn, Donna Lainberger; brothers: Thomas, Roger and Eugene; and numerous in-laws.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street in Sun Prairie. Father William Vernon will preside. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St., Sun Prairie and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Sacred Hearts Cemetery.
