Katherine "Katie" Pavlue, 96, of Waunakee,
died on August 19,2023, after a fall and a brief illness.
She was born on December 23, 1926, to John and Katherine (Meek) Gross. She married Ted Pavlue on September 25,1948, and he preceded her in death on September 10, 1992. Katie loved playing euchre and bingo as well as cooking and baking.
Survivors include two sons: Charles (Rosemary) Pavlue and Dean(Kristi) Pavlue; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; as well as a lifelong friend, Isabelle Dressel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; two sons, Gary and Jon; and her eight siblings.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church 209 South St Waunakee. Friends may call at the church on Sat. from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in St. Mary of the Lake cemetery.
