Copus, Kendell Roy
EVANSVILLE - Kendell Roy Copus, age 37, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at Mercy Hospital. He was born on Jan. 13, 1985, in Madison, the son of Steve and Monique (Pien) Copus.
Kendell attended Oregon High School. He worked alongside his family doing millwork and roofing. Kendell enjoyed working with his hands and was a talented man who could refurbish homes, vehicles, etc.
Kendell was larger than life and he loved doing any and all things, especially those things that would cause an adrenalin rush, such as skydiving and pushing the limits with fast vehicles. He was an avid Packers fan, a hard worker who was always searching for the right love and always made time for his family. Kendell's family was extremely important to him. He truly loved being a dad and lovingly supported his daughters in everything that they did.
Kendell is survived by daughters, Hayden and Alexis and their mother, Kimberly Schulz and daughter, Scarlett and her mother, Alli Walz and Alli's sons, Trayden and Carter; parents, Steve and Monique Copus; brother, Jimmie (Page) Copus; maternal grandmother, Marcella "Marcy" (Rich) Nelson; paternal grandfather, James "Jim" Copus (Donna); and many, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wendell "Butch" Pien; and paternal grandmother, Judy Copus.
A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022.
