Lavonne Mary Bruni

Lavonne Mary Bruni, age 90, passed away peacefully at home in Baraboo on June 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Lavonne was born and raised in Verona, Wisconsin, the daughter of Alburton and Edna Sharer. On May 8, 1954, she married the love of her life, Ronald F. Bruni. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and community.

Lavonne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ronald; and their five children: Ronda Young (Robert) of Jasper, Ga., Beth Hays (Mark) of Reedsburg, Wis., Scott Bruni (Judy) of Mukwonago, Wis., David Bruni (Sandi) of Burlington, Wis. and Chris Bruni (Julie) of Poynette, Wis. She is also lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A woman of deep faith, Lavonne was an active and faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Baraboo, where she found strength, fellowship, and joy throughout the years. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and quiet devotion to those around her will be remembered always.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, especially Dr. Jack Massee, and Agrace Hospice in Baraboo, especially Tricia Ramnarace, for their compassionate care and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the Baraboo Food Pantry in Lavonne's name.

She will be dearly missed and forever loved.
