Lloyd M. "Mike" Croissant
March 22, 1945 - May 31, 2022
MADISON - Lloyd M. "Mike" Croissant, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. He was born in Minneapolis, MN, on March 22, 1945, to the late Clarence (Wilma) Croissant and Mildred. He is also preceded in death by his brother Matt and nephew Duane.
Mike is survived by his brothers: Preston and Paul (Lisa); nephews: Dallas, Tony, and Chad; nieces: Tina and Valerie; and many friends and caregivers along his journey.
Mike moved to Madison in the mid 1960s where he went on to work in the Animal Science Building at UW Madison. Mike had a great love for animals, especially birds, and penguins were his favorite. He enjoyed trips to the Vilas Zoo, and he always made a quick stop at the gift store looking for stuffed birds.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Holidays and his birthday were always in the company of those he cherished.
The family would like to express their great appreciation for the many years of excellent care for Mike provided by Options in Community Living. They made it possible for Mike to live independently for most of his life.
The family is also grateful to Jennifer and Amanda for their therapeutic work with Mike to encourage his mobility during his illness, and many thanks also to Matt Jahnke for being Mike's support broker and friend.
Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Cress SUN PRAIRIE with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 a.m. There will be a luncheon at the Eagle's Club, 2109 Bartillon Dr, Madison, WI, 53704, immediately following the memorial service. Mike will be brough to his final place of rest at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
