SUN PRAIRIE - Lois C. Barman, age 90, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at home. She was born on April 4, 1933, in Perry Township to Peter and Bernadine (Brings) Haag. She married Jerome Barman on May 22, 1954, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol. She worked the family farm with her husband for most of her life.
Lois is survived by her children: Bonnie (Russ) Jorstad of Edgerton, Ronald (Deborah) of DeForest, Marie (Neil) Larson of Madison, Duane (Miel) of Sun Prairie, Rita (Jeff) Hicks of Sun Prairie, Bill (Jeni) of Sun Prairie; 11 grandchildren: Erik Jorstad, Ben (Kayla) Barman, Casey (Elizabeth) Barman, Chad Barman, Drew Barman, Karissa Barman, Jocelyn (Drew) Barman, Kelsey (Evan) Flood, Jessica(Christian) Frusolone, Cory (Nora) Barman, Whitley (Connor) Barman; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Barrett, Connor, Nolan, Henry, and Mason; brother, Jerry (Bev) Haag; sister, Leta Maly; and sister-in-law, Suze Haag.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome, in 2008; a son, Kenneth; sister, Frances Yelk; and brother, Cletus Haag.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023, at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert's Drive in Sun Prairie with Monsignor Donn Heiar presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery.
The Family would like to thank Karissa and Jocelyn for their care of Grandma.
