Lori Helgeland Obituary

Lori Helgeland

April 21, 1980 - August 4, 2025

Lori Ann Helgeland passed away at home on August 4, 2025, in Lander, Wyoming. She was 45 years old.

Born on April 21, 1980, in Columbus, Wisconsin, Lori brought warmth and compassion into the world from the very beginning. Lori and her wife, Amy shortly after they got married moved to Lander, Wyoming.

Lori had a deep love for her many pets, who were a cherished part of her daily life. Her dogs, Duke and Taz, cats, Lola and Larry, and even her chickens were more than just animals-they were family. Her care and affection for them reflected a gentle spirit and a nurturing heart that touched those around her. Lori loved art projects building and creating. She built and repaired many a fence around their yard. She enjoyed hiking on trails and nature. She wasn't afraid to fix anything. Lori was in the health care field most of her life. She loved helping and caring for her patients. She had a kind heart and a great sense for adventures.

Lori is survived by her wife, Amy Myers. Her mom Kathy Helgeland of Columbus, WI; sisters, Wendy (Steve) Lane, Amy Simon, and her sons, Kenny and Shane Simon. She is preceded in death by her dad, Larry Helgeland, and her brother-in-law, Neil Simon. Forever in our hearts. We love you and miss you Lori. Rest in peace. At a later date there will be a private memorial.
