Lowell Ahrens Obituary
Lowell Ahrens, Prairie du Chien, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11 a.m.. at the United Methodist Church, Pastor Oliver Cardano officiating, with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien.
Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. where there will be a tribute from the Prairie du Chien Masonic Lodge #8 at 7 p.m.
Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Military Honors will be accorded by the Prairie du Chien Honor Guard.

Dear Mark, Jamie and family,
We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Something this unexpected and tragic takes a long time to heal from, and please know we´re always here for you guys, not just as neighbors but as friends. Lowell was always a gentle soul when we got to see him. We are grateful to have met the father who shaped you.
The ceremony today was very touching, and I´m glad we could be there to honor your dad!

Lowell Ahrens was our 1st Sargent for the S.A.R.T.S. Small Arms Readiness Section. He was a great leader and caring individual. He was also on the High Power Rifle Team.
