Mary Tabah Brisson died Thursday, April 3, 2025. Mary was born on August 23,

1949, in Montreal, Canada, and became an American Citizen as a child in Vermont. She grew up and went to schools in Northfield Falls, Vermont and Northfield, Vermont.

Mary was the daughter of Hendrika Van Toledo Tabah and Saad Tabah who predeceased her. Mary leaves her son, Michael Brisson, her daughter-in-law Neysa Brisson and grandson Marshall Stansbury of New Durham, New Hampshire; her sister Hendrika Tabah Sluder and brother-in-law Godfrey Sluder of Kingston, New Hampshire; her brother John Tabah and sister-in-law Nora Tabah of Lake Butler, Florida; her brother-in-law, Richard Brisson and sister-in-law Courtney Ambrose Brisson of Longwood, Florida; her sister-in-law, Sail Brisson and brother-in-law Armin Heurich of Ithaca, New York; her sister-in-law Carol Brisson of Rutland, Vermont; her step mother-in-law Patricia Brisson of Rutland, Vermont; and, many nieces, nephews and grandnieces.

Mary attended the University of Vermont and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She received her Master of Education with a degree in Reading and Language Arts. Mary attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI, and received her Reading Specialist Certificate. She achieved her lifelong dream of teaching for close to 40 years prior to retirement. In 2017 Mary and Jerry moved one last time together to live in Stratham, New Hampshire.

Mary enjoyed her life with her husband, Jerry, and son, Michael, her family and friends, and her lifelong passion for teaching.

A visiting hour will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 10 am in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH. A service will be held immediately following visitation at 11 am in the funeral home. The burial will be in the Northfield Falls Cemetery, Northfield Falls, VT, at a later date for the family.
