Toon Lillard, Molly Elizabeth
MIDDLETON – Molly Elizabeth Toon Lillard, age 28, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021. She was born on May 26, 1992, in Madison, Wis., to parents Al and Jane Toon. Her family often joked that Molly came out of the womb running. She loved to be the center of attention and was always excited to try new things. She grew up dancing, swimming, playing sports, laughing, acting, and found her true joy in making others smile. She graduated from Middleton High School in 2010 and went on to play volleyball at the University of Michigan. She treasured her experiences as a Cardinal and Wolverine and left her mark on the hearts of many everywhere she went.
Molly lived her last several years in Scottsdale, Ariz., where she enjoyed the warm weather, mountains, and the painted sky sunsets. She adored her seven-year-old dog, Simon, who shares her sassy personality. She loved animals, traveling, and a good glass of Malbec. She lived to love, she loved her life, and she always pushed people to have fun. You would often hear her saying things like, "life is too short to wear stiff pants!" and "don't be afraid to jump off of the high dive!" Her enormous heart and caring spirit were felt by anyone who shared a room with her. She loved being a mom, wife, and sharing her eight-month-old son, Isaac, with the world.
Molly is survived by her son, Isaac; parents, Al and Jane Toon; two sisters, Kirby (Michael) Henderson and Sydney (Trevor) Wilson; brother, Nick (Annie) Toon; nephew, AJ Toon; grandmother, Frances O'uma Toon; and many more beloved family members and friends.
Due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions, Molly's service will be private. Family and friends who wish to join via LIVE STREAM may visit Molly's obituary page at www.gundersonfh.com and click on the Live Webcast link at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021. A public visitation will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021.
