Patricia Gilfoy Obituary
July 10, 1946 - September 17, 2024
MADISON – Patricia Jean (Mueller) Gilfoy, aged 78, passed away on September 17, 2024. She was born on July 10, 1946, to Don and Harriet (Kessenich) Mueller.
After Pat graduated from Edgewood High School, she pursued an LPN from Madison Area Technical College and began working at St. Mary's Hospital in first the hospital nursery, then the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. There, she worked for 48 years before retirement, providing loving care to premature babies and their families. When she wasn't nursing, she enjoyed gardening, cross stitching, reading, and crossword puzzles.
Pat is survived by her sisters, Kate Watts (Bob), Mary Stolen (Steve), and Joanne Turner (Charles); her sisters-in-law, Fran Mueller and Denice Mueller; brother-in-law, Anthony "Bud" Gilfoy; and by many loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She is further survived by many close and dear friends.
Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Steve; her parents, Don and Harriet Mueller; her brothers, Jim Mueller and Joe Mueller; and her sister, Jean (Tom) Rauch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S Owen Drive Madison, Wis. 53711. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will be held at the church following mass.
Memorials can be donated in memory of Patricia to Agrace Hospice Care or Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
