Meicher, Patricia Carol "Pat" (Mullarkey)
WAUNAKEE - Patricia Carol "Pat" (Mullarkey) Meicher, age 85, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loving partner, finished her earthly journey to enter her final resting place in the arms of her heavenly father on Friday, May 21, 2021.
Pat was born on Dec. 22, 1935, in Haywarden, Iowa, to Michael and Nellie (Richardson) Mullarkey. She married Joseph Meicher on Aug. 25, 1957. They were blessed with six children: Michael, Serena, Patti, Sara, Joseph, and Timothy. Much of her life was devoted to raising her children. Outside the home she maintained long-term employment as a word processor at Wisconsin Power and Light.
Pat's love for her family was her primary focus in life. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and grand-dogs brought her much joy. She also enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida with long-term, loving partner, Tom Carey. Other hobbies included cooking for others, knitting, reading, puzzle books, shopping, dining out and quiet prayer time with God. Cardinals had a special place in Pat's heart and held significant spiritual meaning for her. She was a financial supporter of Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, whose ministry was important to her.
Pat is survived by long-term, loving partner, Tom Carey; one sister, Marie Blaser; her children, Michael (Becca Walker) Meicher, Serena (James) Meicher-Doe, Patti (Jeffery) Buege, Sara (Gilly) Beck, Joseph Meicher, and Timothy (Joanne Kinney) Meicher; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Kathi, Evie, Dorothy, Linda, and Matt.
She was preceded in death by Joseph L. Meicher; mother, Nellie Mullarkey; father, Michael Mullarkey; brother, Bob Mullarkey; and sister, Frances Mullarkey-Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
