Richard C. "Rick" Schroeder Jr.

January 13, 1962 - May 1, 2025

PRAIRIE DU SAC - Richard C. "Rick" Schroeder Jr., 63, of Prairie du Sac, passed away May 1, 2025. Born January 13, 1962, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kansas City (1983–88) and retired from TDS Telecom in 2023. Rick was preceded in death by his wife, Marcie. He is survived by siblings, John Pfeifer, Patrick, Timothy, Daniel, and Margaret Schroeder; stepson, Joel (Cindy) Sass; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews; and his loyal dog, Barley.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 14, at the Free Congregation Hall, 309 Polk St., Sauk City. Visitation at 11 a.m., service at 12 p.m., with a reception to follow at Vintage Brewing, 600 Water St.

Memorials may be made in Rick's name to the Humane Society of the United States (humanesociety.org) or sent Hooverson Funeral Homes, P.O. Box 86, Sauk City, WI 53583.
