POYNETTE - Robert "Bob" R. Baker, age 63, passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2025, with his family by his side.

Born in Madison, Wisc., on March 27, 1962, Bob was the beloved son of Mike and Linda Baker. He graduated from Madison La Follette High School and went on to build a career both as a skilled mechanic and later in the field of information technology. Bob was exceptionally talented; if something needed fixing, he could fix it. Bob was the "go to guy." His gift for solving problems, whether with cars, small engines, computers, or anything in between, was admired by everyone who knew him.

Bob had many passions in life. He was a proud Green Bay Packers fan, an avid follower of UFC fights and a devoted car enthusiast who especially loved his 2021 Dodge Challenger. He especially found joy in both building computers and treasured the companionship of his faithful German Shepherd, Bear.

Among all the blessings in his life, Bob's grandson, Jaden, was his pride and joy. Their bond was unbreakable, and Jaden truly was the center of his world. Whether cheering him on,

sharing laughs, watching movies, or simply spending time together, Bob's happiest moments were the ones he spent with his grandson.

Bob is survived by his parents, Mike and Linda Baker; daughters; Brooke Baker, Sasha Peterson, Trisha Bowers (Justin) and Tiffany Hoffmann; former wife and friend, Vicki Baker; brothers, Bart (Annisa) Baker and Michael (Kristy) Baker; grandchildren, Jaden Eltrevoog, Isaiah Eltrevoog, Dakota Bowers and Justine Bowers; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marjorie and Russell Reinke, Robert Baker, Laverne and Lloyd Farr; and uncle, Robert Russell Reinke.

Memorial Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday September 3, 2025. A private family burial will be at Lakeview Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.

Bob will be remembered for his love of family, his sense of humor, his incredible talents and his passion for the things he cherished.
