February 12, 1946 - July 16, 2025
OREGON - Robert "Bob" Kocovsky, age 79, of Oregon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Stoughton Meadows. He was born on February 12, 1946, in Madison, the son of Frank Kocovsky and Nora (Pishion) Heggestad.
Bob graduated from Oregon High School in 1964 and he proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era from 1967 to 1971. He was united in marriage to Gloria Henning on September 27, 1969, in Madison. He worked as a truck driver for Roberts & Dybdahl for 31 years.
He was a member of the local Jaycees, where he served as past President and State Officer, and was also a member of the American Legion Post 59 in Stoughton. For the past 25+ years, Bob enjoyed going out for "breakfast with the boys," friends from high school and the service. He also enjoyed crafting and woodworking. Bob and Gloria loved cheering on their grandsons when they started playing hockey. Their love of hockey grew, and they quickly became fans of the Badgers Women's Hockey Team. Bob and his family were also passionate about soccer. He helped to coach his children's teams and was very active in the Oregon soccer community for many years. Bob was a great supporter of his daughter in the Oregon marching band, helping make props, drive the truck, and cheering from the sidelines.
Robert is survived by his children, Chris (Jill) Kocovsky, Missy Kocovsky and Shelly Kocovsky; grandsons, Ryan and Joshua; sisters, Ann (Delane) Stenjem and Dorothy White; grand-dog, Luke; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
