Robert O. Outhouse

STOUGHTON / OREGON - Robert O. Outhouse passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Milestone Senior Living in Stoughton. He was born on December 24, 1930, in Madison, Wis., to Walter and Annie (Blizzard) Outhouse.
Robert graduated from Stoughton High School in 1947. He married Ardys Schulz on August 22, 1964, and they recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. Robert served in the U.S. Army in Okinawa. He co-owned Outhouse Truck Sales, Inc., until his retirement, and then worked at Mount Horeb Truck Parts for his son, Brian.
Robert was a 72-year member of Oregon Masonic Lodge No. 151, and was a Past Master. He was also a member of the Zor Shrine, being an original member of the Zor Wranglers. He enjoyed playing dart ball for St. John's Lutheran Church and slow pitch softball for many years. His favorite activity was watching his children and grandchildren participate in various sports and school activities. His favorite place was the family cabin in Star Lake, Wis., where he spent countless hours.
Robert is survived by his wife, Ardys; children, Nancy Blum, Brian (Renae Sieling), and Sue (Loren) Vanderbilt; grandchildren, Nicole, Kelli, Gloria, Robert, Marisa (Nik), Matt (fiancée, Christina) and Lindsey; and great-grandchildren, Veronica, Nolan and Henry. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Curtis (Judy) Schulz and Dean Schulz; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; son-in-law, Ron Blum; siblings and their spouses, Perry (Lucille), George (Evelyn), Howard (Blanche), Raymond, Mary (Wayne) Hoffmaster, Grace (Robert) Hagen, Russell (Katherine), Alice (Robert) Watson and Ruth (Harlan) Metzler; in-laws, Clarence and Anna (Elvekrog) Schulz; and sister-in-law, Judy Schulz.
A celebration of life will be held at HALVERSON'S EVERYTHING NICE, 1965 Barber Drive, Stoughton, from 3:30 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. A short service will be held at 4 p.m., followed by a luncheon.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Milestone Senior Living and Agrace Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Robert.
