Shawn Ann Morrow
May 16, 1951 - May 1, 2023
BOISE, ID - Shawn Ann Morrow (nee Forseth), age 71, died peacefully at home in Boise, ID, in the loving presence of her siblings and devoted husband.
Shawn grew up in Monona, WI, where she attended Monona Grove High School, graduating in the class of 1969.
Caring for others was embedded in Shawn's DNA, which was obvious to all who knew her. Shawn earned a nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, launching her lifelong career as a registered nurse, and she was instrumental in starting the first UW women's clinic.
Complementing her effervescent personality, she was the epitome of a stylish dresser, always sporting exuberant hats, playful scarves, and delightfully impossible footwear. After a few bumps in the Road of Life, she landed safely in Boise, ID, to live near her sister, Patti, where they soon became "best friends." After a five-year courtship, Shawn married her "Danny Ross" in April 2019.
In their mutual retirement, they hiked, biked and explored not only the captivating terrain of her new Idaho home, but also the wilderness and sites of Oregon, Wyoming, Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico.
In September 2021, the newlyweds' idyllic life together faced fragility when Shawn was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In spite of her prognosis, and thanks to the devoted care of her husband and a highly skilled and reputable medical team, she was able to enjoy life to the fullest for most of the next 18 months, including several staycations in Boise and Oregon, an Alaskan cruise, and a visit to Japan to meet her son's beautiful bride.
Shawn was a longstanding member of the American Nurses Association and the American Association of University Women, and a practicing Christian.
Shawn is survived by her husband, Danny Ross Morrow of Boise, ID; son, Gabiola "Gabi" Lipede (Alena Govorounova) of Japan; daughter, Rory Lipede of NY; mother-in-law, Betty Morrow of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Kevin Robert Forseth (Teresa) of Columbus, WI; sister, Patricia Ann O'Hara (Richard) of Boise, ID; and brother, Mark David Forseth (Debbie Lima) of Fairwood, WA; nephew, Patrick Eagan O'Hara, of Glendale, CA; and niece, Meaghan Elizabeth (Sam) Rosenthal, of West Bend, WI. Shawn was preceded in death by her father, Roald Borge Forseth, and mother, Patricia Mary Forseth.
The family sincerely thanks the many friends and family who have offered their support, and shared their condolences and prayers during these deeply sad times.

So saddened to read of Shawn's passing. She was one of my nurses at student health in Madison, WI in the early & mid seventies. We had a great tight, personal coworker relationship & cried on each other shoulders a few times. She was full of energy & "kooky" ideas. I have thought of her many times over the years. Love you dear Shawn.
