Stephen Wakefield Law
Stephen W. Law, age 93, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022, in Tucson, AZ. Steve was born in and remained a lifelong resident of Madison. Steve was an Executive Vice President at Rural Mutual Insurance until his retirement in 1988. One of his proudest accomplishments was coordinating the sponsorship of WIAA with Farm Bureau and Rural Mutual Insurance.
In retirement, Steve and the love of his life, Margaret Mary, split their time between winters in Tucson, AZ, and summers in Boulder Junction, WI. They found great joy and happiness in their travels together and spending time, laughing and sharing life with their many friends.
Steve was involved in his community as President of West Side Swim Club, Cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 402, Wisconsin Businessmen's, President of West High School PTA and Rotary Club.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Law; his sister, Virginia Law; and his beloved wife of 58-years, Margaret Mary (Maggie).
Steve's greatest joy was the time and closeness that he shared with his children, his grandchildren, and the blessings of his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his four children: Kathleen (Jay) Flaherty of Tucson, AZ, Stephen Jr. (Ditte) Law of Tucson, AZ, Barbara (John) Gallagher of Madison, WI, and Charles (Bonnie) Law of Cross Plains, WI: his ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Daddy (Poppy), you will be remembered and loved by each member of your family for the special memories each of us shared with you. We love and miss you.
