MADISON/PORT ORANGE, FL - Steven (Steve) Clifford Bass, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 10, 2024, in Daytona Beach, FL.
Steve was born in Rice Lake, WI, to Clifford and Dorothy (Atwater) Bass on April 22, 1949. He attended Barron High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and especially enjoyed UW-basketball and football and the Green Bay Packers. His love of golf was a great excuse to spend time with his best buddies and in the evenings he could often be found with an a very dry martini with two blue cheese olives in hand.
Steve was a loving and dedicated husband, a proud and patient dad and grandpa and a kind and generous friend. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Madison and Port Orange, FL; his daughter, Angie of Madison, and his daughter, Melissa; and granddaughter, Eden, of Oxford, MS. He's further survived by his brother, Jerry Bass (Ellie) of Port Orange, FL; and his sister, Pat Sam (Ron) of Fort Myers, FL; many beloved nieces and nephews and dear friends who were family to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his in-laws, Robert
and Naomi Strasburg

I send my condolences to Steve's family. The obituary showed Steve as clearly a successful and generous man who had a rich life. I knew Steve at Barron High School and had the pleasure of teaching his daughter, Melissa, a wonderful student, at West High School. I am sorry for your loss.
