Dodson, Thomas R.
PARDEEVILLE - Thomas R. "PopPop" Dodson, 70, of Pardeeville, passed away peacefully July 3, 2021, after a hard-fought battle against cancer. He was born March 7, 1951, in Merced, Calif.
His family moved around the country to many Air Force bases before settling back in Madison. He graduated from East High School in 1969 and attended UW-Stevens Point. He held various jobs before joining the University of Wisconsin Physical Plant where he worked as a custodian for over 25 years until retirement.
Tom loved fishing, playing euchre, the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers. He could fix anything and loved to tinker in his workshop. He loved desserts, and the buffets were his favorite part of Las Vegas, followed closely by the casinos. But most of all he loved his family, who will cherish all the memories - his wife, Lauren; daughter, Sarah, and grandson, Vincent; daughter, Emily; and son-in-law, Tim. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is further survived by his two sisters, Connie and Judy; as well as many nieces and nephews and his best friends, Brock and Scout.
Tom did not like funerals but agreed to let us celebrate his life. Please join the family on July 24 from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. at BOWL-A-VARD LANES on East Springs Drive to share memories and pictures of Tom and listen to some of his favorite music. Please wear your Packers, Badgers, or Brewers gear. We love you and miss you, Tom. Online condolences may be made at www.grassefs.com. Grasse Funeral Service in Pardeeville is serving the family.
