Dreama Lynn "Whitt" Dodson

Dreama Lynn Dodson, 63 of Inwood, WV, died February 17, 2026 at Winchester Medical Center.

She was born January 17, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Ferrel and Evelyn H. Whitt. She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church.

Dreama married James Dearmont Dodson on November 7, 1977, he preceded her in death November 5, 2011.

She is survived by three children, Dreama Evelyn Thompson (Troy) of Florida, Diana Marie Ortega (Aldwin) of Winchester, and Patricia Dawn Dodson of Winchester, two brothers Allen Whitt and Randal Whitt both of Winchester eight grandchildren and three great grand children.

Along with her husband James, she is preceded in death by her son Willie Dearmont Dodson, three brothers, Tommy Whitt, Terry Whitt, and Anthony Whitt, and a sister, Sherry Denise Whitt.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 9, 2026 from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2774 Northwestern Turnpike, Winchester, VA 22603.

The funeral will be held Tuesday February 10, 2026 at Emmanuel Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Marty Masitto and Pastor Steve Rebert officiating.

Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Siler, VA. Pall bearers will be: Daniel Whitt, Eric Whitt, Brian Whitt, Tommy Whitt Jr., Chris Whitt, and Gage Whitt, honorary pall bearers are Kenny Mac and Ed Garcia.
