Thomas "Tom" Donald McComb
Nov. 9, 1971 - July 19, 2023
Thomas "Tom" Donald McComb passed away on July 19, 2023, at his home in Fond du Lac, WI.
For the past year he had been a top car salesman at Summit Motors in Fond du Lac and an active member of the Fond du Lac Gratitude Club. Born in Seoul, Korea, November 9, 1971, he was brought to the US before his first birthday by adoptive parents Craig McComb and Susan Guptill McComb. Susan preceded him in death in 1992. His life took him all over the country. He attended elementary school in Westminster, CA; graduated from West High School in Madison, WI; and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menominee, WI with a Bachelors Degree and later a Masters. For many years he worked as a Human Resource Manager for Aramark and Amcor Flexibles. Tom worked and lived in Minnesota, Colorado, Nevada, California, Massachusetts, Illinois, Kentucky and Arizona before settling in Wisconsin.
Everywhere he developed close friends and was especially beloved for supporting fellow substance addicts before, during and after their (and his) recovery treatments. His parents supported his recovery and sobriety throughout his careers.
Besides Craig, Tom is survived by his stepmother, Leila Pine of Madison; and sister, Lisa McComb Hanson of Elcho, WI and her children, Kelly of Kingsport, TN and Mark of Sun Prairie, WI; aunt, Nan Guptill Crain of Glen Rock, NJ; aunt, Marilyn McComb Watson of Columbia, MO; cousin, Mary Arroyo, of Hadlock, WA; uncle, John McComb, and cousins, Terrie and Jennifer McComb, all of Fox Lake, IL; stepbrother, Michael Blascoe, Michael's partner, Lorena Rendon and their children Amberly and Miguel Blascoe, all of Tucson, AZ; uncle Art Pine of Chevy Chase, MD, and cousin, Amy Pine, of Durham, SC.
