Timothy Draxler Obituary
November 26, 1958 - September 14, 2024
BARNEVELD - A loving father, Timothy Alan Draxler, 65, passed away at his home on September 14, 2024 after a three year battle with cancer. Tim follows his wife Kathleen A. (Madsen) Draxler in death, whom he married on June 10, 1989; and will be dearly missed by his three sons, Michael, Alex and Sean.
He was born November 26, 1958, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison and grew up in Madison and Marshall alongside his brothers Chris and Neil, and parents John B. and Joan (Murphy) Draxler.
Tim graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1977. He went on to attend University of Wisconsin and earned a degree in insurance. He was President of Klein Insurance Group and later EVP of Ansay & Associates for twenty-six years, retiring on January 10, 2020.
Tim was full of life, joyful and hard working. As an avid sports fan, Tim loved watching every game and going to many sport games with his sons and friends. He enjoyed many family vacations to Florida and around the country including trips to Mexico and Canada. Spending his time at home enjoying the garden he and his sons created and the wildlife that visited. Tim was a builder at heart and loved to work on projects at home and for his friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home, 6021 University Avenue, Madison. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service. A reception will follow.
