December 20, 1950 - March 9, 2025
DeForest / Stoughton: William R. "Bill" Cress Jr., age 74, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday March 21, 2025, at the Cress Center, with visitation from 10 a.m. to the time of the service. A full obituary will run Sunday March 16th.

Bill was a great man, & a true friend. I had the distinct pleasure of working for the Cress family for 12 years. Phenomenally Ethical, and Caring. Not just for the families we served, but also for families first when we had a family emergency. Bill understood and implemented so much to the firm with his education, experience, but foremost Bill´s intellect. May God Bless You & Keep You Until Sherry Is Back in Your Loving Arms. Sherry and family, praying for God´s comfort, God´s strength while you heal and God´s peace while you adjust in the days ahead. So glad you were able to have Christmas with family after all Bill went through last year.
We are in Florida until next week.
