Daniel Seitz Obituary
Daniel Seitz, age 61, passed away suddenly at Naknek, Alaska on July 24, 2024.
Dan was born in Madison, SD on July 15, 1963, to Lester (Buster) and Ruth Seitz. Dan grew up and graduated from Madison in 1981. He married Diane Thyen, and they had one son, Daniel Buster Seitz.
They lived in Texas for many years before moving to Alaska. Dan was a community member for Naknek and King Salmon, AK. He was the manager of Naknek Trading Hardware and Lumber. He served on the Naknek Electric Association board of directors and enjoyed playing on the Naknek River Dart League.
Dan is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diane Seitz, and son, Daniel Buster Seitz of Alaska. He is also survived by three brothers: John (Kelly) of Sioux Falls, Jerry (Kim) and Tom (Cheryl Jones) of Madison, SD.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Ruth Seitz, his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be planned in the future for friends and family in South Dakota, as well as a Celebration in Alaska.
