On Tuesday morning, January 26, 2021 Amy Ann Quaintance, left our physical presence, at the age of 37.
Amy loved making small crocheted animals and Afghan blankets for those that were closest to her heart. Alexia (Amy's daughter) saw her mother as definitely one of her biggest cheerleaders in her life. Alexia enjoyed the Mario sleepovers with her mom, even though her mother had a lot of 10's (their inside joke).
Amy was saved and baptized at around age 20. She was baptized in the Boise River, while staying at the Victory House in Boise, Idaho. Amy would share her spirituality with broken women that were incarcerated, giving them hope and leading other women to the Lord. She was a source of comfort to many of the women incarcerated with her. Amy loved helping others, from jail mates, to anyone in the struggle of life. She had a great sense of humor and a loving presence.
It will be asked....what happened. I will answer in this light.
At a very young age, Amy lived in a life of addiction and incarceration, that finally took its toll on her physical body. Amy learned to live a life of love and forgiveness, most of that time.
Amy was preceded in death by an uncle and a few grandparents. She is survived by her loving daughter, Alexia Quaintance, her half-brother Jacob Quaintance, Jacob's wife Jessica and their daughter Payson, her grandmother Shirley Shaddy and Shirley's husband Roger, her mother Orpha Ann Coleman and Ann's husband Brad, Ann's brothers Ed (Frosty), Douglas, Michael, and their children, her father Mark Allen Quaintance and his wife Jill, Mark's sister DeLaine and his three brothers Ricky, Virgil, Curtis and their children. Amy has a very extensive family of steps. Grandmother Kathy Taylor and many sisters, brothers, nieces (Kennedy) and nephews, which all love her very much.
One of her uncles summed up Amy's life beautifully, by saying ... I have a beautiful niece that struggled through life, with a cracked halo and damaged wing. She is now a Perfect Angel of God.
Amy will be thought of often.... as one of those beautiful Souls.

I am so sorry for your families loss. I knew Amy to be a free kind spirit. She lived down the road from me in Tetonia, idaho. She was a very good friend to my daughter and helped take care of my grandchildren. She was at many of our family events and considered a big part of our family. She will be as dearly missed as she was loved. May she walk with my son and be our guardian angels. Lots of love and prayers
