Betty Sackett Obituary

Betty Ann Sackett

October 16, 1940 - May 7, 2025

Betty Ann Sackett, 84.

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Ann Sackett, who departed this life May 7th 2025 peacefully at the age of 84.

Betty was the beloved wife of Ray J. Sackett, with whom she shared 67 years full of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She was a devoted mother to Wendy Sackett, Deven Sackett, and Raymond Sackett and a loving mother-in-law to Sue Sackett and Larry Carruth. She was also a cherished grandmother to Cody Sackett and Jayme Sackett, and a proud great-grandmother to Colton Sackett, Hunter Sackett, Zander Sackett, and Liliana Sackett.

A woman of many talents and a generous heart, Betty spent her life bringing beauty and care to others in quiet but lasting ways. She worked as a loving babysitter to many, a skilled cake decorator who delighted friends and family with her creations, and a talented hairstylist for the Boise Little Theater, where her creativity and community spirit shone brightly.

Betty was also deeply committed to service and fellowship. She was a longtime member of the Eastern Star and the Ladies of the Oriental Shrine, organizations through which she formed lifelong friendships and gave back to her community in countless meaningful ways.

Known for her gentle presence, sharp wit, and nurturing soul, Betty touched countless lives. Whether through a kind word, a homemade treat, or a perfectly styled hairdo, she had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and special.

She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and deep family devotion. She will be remembered always and missed dearly.

A service to honor Betty's life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Scottish Rite Foundation Building, 1407 W Bannock St, Boise, ID 83702.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Betty's memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children, an organization close to her heart.

My mom was a long time with your mom when they were in Eastern Star.
How fitting to have her service at the Scottish Rite. She would have been proud!
