Carol Ann Sharp

FILER - Carol passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in Filer, Idaho. She was born to Mary and Scott Preston on June 24, 1937, the oldest of three children. Carol grew up in Hagerman, Idaho and graduated from Hagerman High School.
On July 8, 1956, she married the love of her life James Sharp. Together they built a life many dream about, farming and ranching. Together they had three children, all girls, Jana, Lorie and Marianne.
Carol was your traditional ranch wife, cooking for all the ranch and farm crews, bailing hay and feeding cattle. She was also an avid outdoorsman.
Later in life she enjoyed working at the local soda fountain, Crowley's. Carol knew no strangers and was a friend to many.
After retirement she spent her years chasing her two granddaughters, watching NASCAR races and hosting Wednesday family dinners.
She is survived by her husband, of 67 years, Jim Sharp, brother, Mike (Sally) Preston, sister-in-law, Pat Preston, daughters: Jana (AJ) Gray, Marianne (Sam) Kaster, granddaughters: Kenzie (Gary) Mode, Alyssa (Colton) Shafer, and great-granddaughter, Jayzee Mode. Carol was proceeded in death by her parents, Scott and Mary Preston, brother, Don Preston and daughter, Lorie Sharp.
Honoring Carol's wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service.
Arrangements are under the care of Wilks Magic Valley Funeral Home.
