David A. Hanks
LEHI, UT – Dave, a former wrestling and football coach and Biology teacher at Burley High School, passed to the other side of the veil to be with his beloved, Carolyn, on August 8, 2024.
They both retired from the Burley schools in 1997, after which they traveled the North American Continent taking wildlife pictures and writing short articles for the Mini-Cassia Weekly News Journal and maintaining their website. (www.davesnaturephotos.com)
ave was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he strove to keep the covenants that he made.
He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Jo Ash (Allen) of Lehi, Utah; son, Bryan David Hanks (Inessa) of Monterey, California; three grandchildren: Clinton Allen Ash (Kylie), Koy Allen Ash (Kaylie), and Kaylee Jo Matua ( Chase); and seven great-grandchildren: Griffin, Skye, Beck, Navy, Crew, Jane and Molly.
He will be buried next to his wife at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
A graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.
