Hazel Lopez Obituary

Hazel Jean Lopez, 72, of Wendell, Idaho, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an unshakable sense of family.
Known for her thoughtful and caring nature, Jean had a heart big enough to welcome anyone into her life and treat them as family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and daughter as well as a dear friend to many. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone she met, leaving behind countless cherished memories.
Jean is survived by her spouse, Socorro Hurtado, and her children: Janell Antrim (Marlin, children Brooklyn and Lucas), Dani Royce (children Ryanne and Christopher), Britney Spiker (Louis, children Noah and Finn), Jaime Hernandez (Joe, children Gabbie, Abigail, and Presley), Nicolas Lopez, Eric Lopez (Rachelle, son Remson), and Michael Lopez. Siblings Jack (Faye) Royce, Bill (Charlene) Royce, Sue (Tracy) Scott, Virgil Royce, Fred Royce. Jean is preceded in death by her parents Daniel and JoAnne Royce, daughter Paula Lopez, and grandson Collin Antrim. Jean's family was her greatest joy, and she devoted her life to nurturing and cherishing them.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held at the American Legion Hall in Wendell on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing stories of the love she gave so freely.
Jean will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her. In her spirit, let us carry forward her legacy of kindness and love.

So sad to hear this news. I had no idea.
We shared many years at ballgames & she was always so animated and spirited. She defended her kids with all she had & loved them immensely! She will be greatly missed by many.
I hadn´t seen her for awhile but I will miss her friendly nature.

Jean was a bright ray of light when ever she entered a room. I was always happy so see her with her infectious smile as she shared her love of others at Wendell High School. Unfortunately, I can not be with you Saturday.
