Jeannine Sears Whitehead
November 17, 1930 ~ January 17, 2021
Jeannine Sears Whitehead, age 90, of Twin Falls Idaho passed away unexpectedly of a sudden illness on January 17, 2021.
Jeannine was born in Oakley, Idaho on November 17, 1930 to E. Emerson and Mina Wells Sears, the second of four children. She and her family enjoyed many adventures, but Jeannine found the greatest joy in spending time with her Grandma Wells. Here she learned many things, but most notably how to cook the family favorite Chicken and Noodles. Jeannine graduated from Twin Falls High School in May of 1949.
Jeannine met and married the love of her life, Wayne R. Whitehead on May 28, 1949. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where they were sealed for time and all eternity. They were married for 66 years at the time of Wayne's passing. Jeannine and Wayne loved to spend time in the mountains with their three daughters. They frequently camped out at Alturas Lake until they built their cabin in the beautiful Stanley area. It was a labor of love.
Jeannine was an active member of her church since her baptism in 1952. She was always there to help others, whether it was a warm meal or a friendly visit. She loved to share advice with her family and friends. She was a very active person who found joy in exercise and walks. Jeannine held several jobs throughout her life. After retirement she and Wayne enjoyed trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington DC to name a few.
Jeannine is survived by three daughters, Diane Stewart of Meridian, Kathy (Dennis) Frederickson of Lawrence Kansas, and Cherie Whitehead of Twin Falls; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Whitehead, her sister Della Chase, grandson Justin Frederickson, sister-in-law Marlene Sears, and grandson Karl Stewart.

It was delightful being her Visiting Teacher. She always shared some of the most interesting stories. She was so delightful. She is someone I really missed when the Third Ward was restructured and we were put into a different ward. We would see each other in passing at church and she always came up to hug me. Her happy countenance will be missed.
