Jesse Ortiz
Nov. 9, 1987 - Dec. 1, 2023
KIMBERLY - Jesse Ortiz, son, brother, husband, dad and friend tragically left this world on December 1, 2023. Jesse was thirty-six years old. Jesse was born on November 9, 1987, in Granda Hills, California to Jauna and Jesus Ortiz.
He loved life and it showed in the way he lived it. From a young boy, he was always searching for an adventure. He could be standing up on his bicycle seat as he carelessly rode his bike down the road or deliberately hiding from his sister while she frantically searched for him. Jesse was the "apple of his mother's eye". She was always doting on him, and he loved it. He loved the social aspects of school. He loved being the center of attention.
While in school, Jesse played soccer and football. Although he enjoyed his sports, he enjoyed the ladies more and was very popular among them. His yearbook was full of their numbers with "Call Me" written underneath.
He and Kristi met while working together in Blackfoot, Idaho. They literally could not take their eyes off each other. Kristi and Jesse fell in love and had an adventurous relationship. Kristi was the love of his life.
They were married on the 23rd of September 2010. They helped create four beautiful children, Tyler 14, Mia 12, Terris 10 and Talon 8 years old. Jesse loved being a dad. His kids grounded him. He loved being a part of their sports and other activities. Their family lived in Blackfoot, Moreland, Idaho Falls and finally settled in Kimberly, Idaho.
Jesse was the hardest working person we know. After having various jobs. Jesse and Kristi opened their own business. It's there they devoted their love, time, sweat and blood into creating a family business. Jesse was so proud of what they created. He befriended everyone who came into the shop and always wanted them to feel welcomed.
Jesse was blessed with many good friends he called family. His friends were always close and near to his heart. He loved them and they loved him. Jesse loved his community. He always wanted to be a part of whatever was happening. He had a special place in his heart for his community. He was always wanting to give back or pay it forward to those in his community that loved, cared for and supported him, his family, and their business. This brought him great joy.
Jesse leaves behind his parents, Juana and Jesus Ortiz; sister, Cindy (Richard) Rodriguez; brother, Adam (Kiley) Ortiz; wife, Kristi Ortiz; four children, Tyler, Mia, Terris and Talon Ortiz; and many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandpa Apa, grandma Margrita, and uncle Jose.
Jesse will be remembered as being a "Force of Nature". Everything he did, he did big. Jesse was full of energy. He was unstoppable, unchallengeable, and unforgettable. In summary, a person to be reckoned with and made you smile even more.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Kimberly High School Gym, 885 Center Street West, Kimberly, Idaho 83341. Jesse I remember all fun times we had together. The times I would go help you with your homework and you making pies for my family and I, all the dances and parties went to with our friends, you helping me get a job when I moved back to Blackfoot. Your family was always so kind to me especially your mother and little brother. I remember you telling me about meeting your future wife and I know how much your really loved her. My love and condolences to your beautiful family, your awesome wife, as you described her, and lovely children.
