LeRoy Jazwick

1931 - 2025

LeRoy Raymond Jazwick passed away on September 14, 2025, in Hagerman, Idaho, at the age of 94. He was born on September 10, 1931, to Leo Michael Jazwick and Rose Ann Brudny, the eldest of three children.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria (1931–2008), and his sister Virginia (1933–2024). He is survived by his three children: Jennifer, Regina, and Andrew; six grandchildren: Jeremiah, Rachel, Zachary, Jordan, Olivia, and Grayson; five great-grandchildren: Bradley, Carissa, Lydia, Clara, and Natalie; one great-great-granddaughter, Lola; and his sister Luann.

Raised in Platte Center, Nebraska, where his father farmed, LeRoy began his career as a train depot agent before becoming an agent-telegrapher for Union Pacific Railroad. He later enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Randolph Air Field in Texas. There he met Gloria McClellan, whom he married on December 18, 1954, in San Antonio.

After his discharge in 1955, LeRoy transitioned to the airline industry. He trained in Kansas City and worked for Braniff Airlines in Ft. Worth before relocating to Colorado in 1958. There, he and Gloria raised their three children.

In 1974, the family moved to Hagerman, Idaho. LeRoy worked as ground operations manager for Air Idaho and later co-owned The Polish Palace restaurant and apartment complex with Gloria and her parents. He went on to work for the State of Idaho until retiring in the mid-1990s.

A dedicated genealogist and active member of the LDS Church, LeRoy was sealed to Gloria in the Boise LDS Temple in 1990. He served as both Ward and Stake Clerk and contributed to the Hagerman Valley Historical Society and local community events.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hagerman Temple.
