Roger Clark Byrns
December 2, 1967 - November 21, 2025
Roger Clark Byrns, 57, of Hagerman, Idaho, passed away on November 21, 2025, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. Roger was a man whose presence could light up any room-handsome, confident, loud, and full of life, laughter, and opinions.
Born December 2, 1967, to Melvin and Donna Byrns, Roger grew up in Filer, Idaho, alongside his older brother, Mike. Though different in many ways, the two shared a childhood full of memories-playing little people, putting pennies on the railroad track, building a raft and camping with Willy, summers spent with cousins catching night crawlers, shooting rabbits in the desert, and creating the kind of dusty, mischievous adventures that shaped who Roger became.
In 1985, Roger welcomed his first child, Kaela, followed by Tori, Shanay, Nichole, Justin, and Stefan. Becoming a father was one of the greatest joys of his life. He spent most of his career as a long-haul truck driver, a job that suited his independent spirit and love for the open road.
Roger was a proud Denver Broncos fan and an exceptional cook who loved camping, boating, and entertaining. Charismatic and charming, he had a way of drawing people in. But above all, he loved his children, grandchildren, and family fiercely. They were the center of his world. His grandkids will forever miss going on adventures with their Papa.
In recent years, Roger devoted himself to caring for his father, Mel, who was also his best friend. Roger leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, humor, and unforgettable moments-memories that will continue to live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Roger was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Donna, and by his grandson, Ayden Terrell.
He is survived by his father, Mel; his brother, Mike (Jolyn) Byrns; and a brother he was grateful to discover later in life, Terry Strife. He is also survived by his children, Kaela (Jonas) Brady, Tori (Jeff) Shell, Shanay (Caleb) Ledbetter, Nichole Nash, Justin Byrns, and Stefan Nash; nineteen grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him deeply
