Agnes N. Wertz

Agnes Norabelle Wertz, age 97, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025 surrounded by family. Born on July 29, 1928, Agnes lived a long and full life marked by hard work creativity and deep devotion to her family. A talented beautician and entrepreneur, she was the proud owner of Riverside Beauty Salon. Agnes was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Moody; her grandchildren, Dawn Del Duca, Shawn Sovacool, Eric Wertz, Benjamin Sovacool, Christopher Sovacool and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ashton Wertz; her son, John Henry Wertz and her grandson, Aaron Ashton Wertz. Agnes's legacy is one of strength, warmth and enduring love for beauty - in people and in life. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Funeral services for Agnes will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:30 pm until service time at the funeral home on Wednesday.
