Angela "Angel" Marie Commisso, age 51, of Lowellville, OH unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She was born on March 27, 1973, in Columbus, OH. She was adopted in Youngstown, Ohio at 16 months old by her parents Donald Anthony and Shirley Ann (Buchanan) Commisso.

Angel was a woman of the outdoors. She enjoyed nature, hearing the ocean, and enjoyed bonfires with family and friends. She always enjoyed the 4th of July and loved seeing fireworks anytime she could. She was an avid animal lover, but most of all she loved butterflies, dolphins, and cats. She loved all types of music, especially classic rock, and eighties music, with her all-time favorites being AC/DC, Garth Brooks, Pat Benatar, Kid Rock, and Peter Gabriel. "Solsbury Hill" was one of her favorite songs.
Angel always enjoyed many types of food, but her favorites included seafood, cheesecake, Taco Bell, and a good cup of Dunkin coffee and a maple donut. Of course, you could always find her snacking on chips or ice cream too. She had a passion for cooking and loved to cook when her family owned the banquet hall Brownstone Court which was a dream come true for her. Angel poured her love into every meal that she made, especially for her son Dominick. She had a variety of cooking positions throughout her life, besides her favorite job at Brownstone Court, her other favorite job was cooking at Villa Maria where she worked from 2016 until 2020. She was loved by all employees, apartment residents, and the 100+ grandmother figures that she got to know through the years, also known as the Sisters of the Humility of Mary.
She was an avid sports fan rooting for the Ursuline Fighting Irish football team, Lowellville Rocket football team, The Ohio State Buckeyes, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Cleveland Indians/Guardians, Mahoning Valley Scrappers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and especially the Minnesota Vikings where she lived in Minnesota for over five years.
Most of all, she loved her son Dominick where he was the apple of her eye. They have been through so many ups and downs together where they always had each other's back. She was always so proud of all his accomplishments and especially loved attending all his musical events throughout the years. She loved watching him march with the Lowellville Rocket Marching Band where she was a member of the Band Booster's organization called The Crescendo Club for one year. She was most proud of the man she watched him become.
