Carmella J. Tomasino-Pisciuneri

Carmella J. Tomasino-Pisciuneri, 67, of Poland, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 22, 1957, in Youngstown, Carmella was the daughter of the late Frank and Carmella (Costello) Tomasino. She was a 1976 graduate of Struthers High School and went on to work for several years in sales and finance with Verizon. Carmella was a woman of remarkable talent and deep compassion. A gifted photographer and painter, she could build anything-even a house-and found endless inspiration in nature. Her creativity knew no bounds, from crafting beauty out of natural elements to preparing her famous Pistachio Jello and countless other delicious dishes. Everything she made was filled with love. She adored her family and simple things in life, her strong, selfless spirit touched everyone who knew her. A woman of deep faith, Carmella was passionate about her country, the ocean, and the planet. Her sense of humor was magnetic-she had a unique way of making people laugh and feel loved. Her life was a vibrant example of generosity, resilience, and joy. Carmella is survived by her son, Mark Pisciuneri, Jr.; her daughter, Sarah Pisciuneri; her four siblings; Cheryl (Tom) Tkach, Gayla (Salvatore) Ramunno, Charles Tomasino, and Marie DiLullo, and Frances (Jason) Curall; her loving dog, Luna; and her former husband, Mark Pisciuneri, Sr. In accordance with her wishes, services will be held privately for the family.
