Carmen Johns Obituary
Carmen Daniel "Danny" Johns Jr., age 59, went home to be with the Lord from his home in Lordstown on September 20, 2025, from a long-term illness.
Danny lived a passionate life marked by love, generosity, and faith. He was a 1984 graduate of LaBrae High School and a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He had a successful career with Ohio Edison for 20-plus years. He was an adamant follower of Steven Furtick and Pastor Joe of Believers Church in Warren, and he attended a few churches when his health permitted.
When able, Danny loved spending time with his grandchildren and loved ones. He loved going above and beyond, creating special gifts and memories. He was quite the jokester, executing many amazing pranks to make everyone laugh.
He left behind his wife of 16 years, Anngelee Johns; his sons, Matthew (Jessica) Johns of Warren, Brandon Sims, deployed in Arizona, by the United States Army, and Cody Sims of Lordstown; and his daughters, Tonya "Nikki" Johns of Champion, Bridgett Danielle Johns, and Krista Johns, both of Akron.
Danny was a cherished son to his mother, Glenda Fish Johns of Lordstown; brother, Charles (Veronica) Johns of Leavittsburg; and his sister, Christina Johns of Lordstown.
His adored grandchildren carry on his legacy: Christopher, Arianna, Lillian, Evan, Landon, Logan, Owen, Layla, Caleb, and Isabella, who will forever cherish the special moments and handcrafted memories he lovingly created for them.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carmen Daniel Johns Giovannone Sr.; his sisters, Tina Marie Johns and Melissa Renee Johns Ramirez; and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Geneva Fish, as well as his paternal grandfather, Chuck Giovannone; and grandmother, Mary Conn.
Today, we say farewell to a man who was so much to so many. Danny, until we meet again, your laughter will forever echo in our hearts.
