Carmen Stewart Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carmen Dolores Stewart, a beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister who transitioned into eternity on September 26, 2025. Born in the vibrant city of Canton, Ohio, on October 30, 1966, to the union of Carlos Meadows and Delores Hailey, Carmen's spirit brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.
A graduate of McKinley High School, class of 1984, Carmen accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized at Deliverance Christian Church. After graduation, she initially worked as a Medical Assistant before working as a Pharmacy Technician, embodying compassion and dedication in her work.
Carmen's creativity was reflected in her passions in life which embraced a love of music, journaling, writing poetry, crocheting, cooking, and various crafting. Her affinity for shades of purple reflects her refined sense of power and purpose in life.
Carmen moved to Corpus Christi, Texas and began a new journey with the love of her life, Cleofus Stewart, whom she married on November 2, 2009. Though she lived in Texas, she stayed connected to home through her family and her loyalty to the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers.
Carmen leaves her memories to be celebrated by her husband, Cleofus Stewart; mother, Delores Hailey Weir; sons, Delorean Anderson and Napolean Green; bonus sons, Antonio Stewart, Romeo Stewart, and Angel Stewart. She also leaves precious memories with her sister, Carla (Steve) Turner; nephews, Carlos Stokes & Charles Minor III; niece, Ciara (Jerrod) Ballard.
Her enduring love will illuminate through five grandchildren; cherished uncle and aunt, Wallace and Lovie Hailey; treasured cousins, Pamela Hailey, Vincent & Pam Hailey, and Gino Hailey, and special friends, Monique Compton, Yvette Kolbs, Star Durnes, Celetta Jones, Tuesday Stokes, Simone Carthon, and Tony Goodman. Collectively the Meadows, Weir, and McKeythan families will share fondest memories of Carmen.
As Carmen crossed the celestial sands into eternity, she takes her seat at the ancestral table which includes father, Carlos Meadows, and stepfather, James Weir, who preceded her in death. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched, as we hold onto the memories that will remain etched in our hearts.
In this time of sorrow, we stand together to celebrate a life well-lived, to reflect upon the joyful moments shared, and to hold dear the love that transcends all boundaries. Carmen will forever be remembered-for her kindness, her laughter, and the everlasting light she brought into our lives.
As Carman's life is celebrated, the family invites the community to a heartfelt farewell. A public viewing will be held at Deliverance Christian Church, 2631 Harvard Ave. NW, in Canton on Wednesday October 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM where we will gather to remember and reflect on the beautiful impact Carmen made on our lives.
