Darlene Meli Obituary

Darlene M. Meli, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1 in her home in North Benton. 

Darlene was born on May 4, 1948 in Newton Falls, OH to Hurley Burton Stout and Hallie Hamric. She was one of two children. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed country line dancing, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a hippie at heart. Most of all, Darlene had a passion for her dogs who she devoted her life to. 

She is survived by her brother, Daniel Stout, two children, Kris Codina and Scott (Michelle) Meli, and her four grandchildren, Gia Codina, Olivia Meli, Ava Codina, and Julia Meli. 

There will be a Celebration of Life for Darlene on Tuesday August 6, 2024 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Salem Chapel, 1858 E. State St. Salem, OH 44460. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Every Dog Matters Rescue Group (http://www.everydogmattersrescue.org/).
