Dave Harrington

David "Dave" H. Harrington, 76, of Niles, passed away peacefully after a sudden illness on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Dave was born in Meadville, PA, on March 30, 1948, a son of the late Herbert and Sarah (Rodgers) Harrington. He was a graduate of Howland High School. He was proud to have retired after more than 30 years at Landscape Unlimited. In 1972, he married his wife, the former Trudy (Brewer) Harrington and together they shared 24 years until her passing in 1998. He would later marry again, this time bringing Karen (Creech) into the family for 21 years. In his free time Dave enjoyed golfing, bowling, and watching movies with his family. He was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeye football. He could often be found doing karaoke and spending time with his family and friends. Dave leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons Terry (Tina) Harrington of Valdosta, GA and Michael (Julie) of Cortland; nine grandchildren C.J. (Tori) Knox, Sammi Schreckengost, Hayley (Cullen) Dennis, Alex Harrington, Adonis Wyant, and Emily Harrington; and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Dave was preceded in death by his wives Trudy and Karen; an infant daughter Kelly Harrington; and siblings Herby Harrington and Kathleen Rudy A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 12:00pm at the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home, 614 Warren Ave., Niles, OH 44446. The family will receive family and friends from 11:00am-12:00pm, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that material contributions be made to the family to help with the funeral costs.
