David Lynch Obituary

David P. Lynch, 79, of Bazetta Township, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at his home. He was born April 28, 1946, in Warren, OH, the son of the late George and Audrey Lynch. David graduated from Champion High School in 1964 and began his career at Delphi Packard Electric. He retired in 2006 after 42 years of service. Dave's lifelong hobbies were motorsports and firearms. He was a skilled machinist, mechanic and welder. He was most often in his garage, wrenching on his jeeps, fixing or restoring a vehicle or tractor, building a trailer or a driveshaft. He was a member of the East Coast 4 Wheel Drive Association and the Going 4 Gold Racing Team, competing for over 20 years in Jeep racing events throughout Ohio. He also competed in local turkey shoots and action pistol events. Dave enjoyed slower, quieter pursuits as well, such as reading, cooking, beekeeping, wine making, and tending to his chickens. He was a Life Member of the NRA, honorary member of the VFW of West Farmington, and member of Cortland Moose Lodge 1012. Memories of David will be cherished by his wife of 60 years, Brenda A. (Jackson) Lynch; son, Allen Scott (Mickie) Lynch of Champion, daughters Kelly (Blair) Thomas of Bazetta, and Lorie Lynch of Southington; Grandchildren, Lindsey (Kevin) Crouser, Julie Lynch, Blair M. Thomas, and Cory (Matt) McCreary; great-granddaughters, Kaydence and Addison Coen, Kyleigh Kasiewicz, Emma, Ella, and Ava McCreary; great-grandson Cody Crouser, nieces and nephews, cousins, close friends, John, Randy, and others too numerous to name. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George R. Lynch and sister, Patricia J. Jordan. A gathering to celebrate Dave's memory will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any material contributions in his honor be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Rose Ella Burkardt Brain Tumor and Neuro-Oncology Center at Cleveland Clinic, or the National Rifle Association. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all who provided care and companionship to Dave, and to Pastor Bill Carter of Believers Church for his weekly visits over the past year. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
